Features:

Mount Marty College was founded in 1936 by the Sisters of Saint Benedict. It was named in memory of Martin Marty, a Benedictine missionary to the Native Americans who became the Territory’s first Catholic bishop. It served as a junior college for girls until 1951 when it awarded it’s first Bachelor of Arts degree. The college became coeducational in 1969. The Watertown campus opened 1979. Mount Marty is located 60 miles from Sioux City and is nestled on the bluffs of the mighty Missouri River and the Lewis & Clark Lake. Students attend from 20 states and 5 foreign countries. The Watertown campus enrolls approximately 300 students and 100 graduate students. All full-time students are issued laptop computers and the wireless campus provides easy access to computer applications.
