Loras was founded in 1839 and is located in Dubuque, a small city on the Mississippi River. Dubuque is located at the intersection of the Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa borders and is 180 miles from Chicago. All students receive wireless computers. Loras offers a very highly rated learning disabilities program. There are presently 125 students taking advantage of the services. Standard services offered at no charge are: note-takers, audio taped textbooks, distraction-free test locations, and extended time for taking tests.
