Features:

Bethel began as a seminary for Swedish Beptist immigrants in 1871 and in 1914 combined with a secondary academy, which later became a junior college. In 1947, the addition of a four-year liberal arts college created Bethel College & Seminary. Bethel is sponsored by the churches of the Baptist General Conference.

Bethel awards certificates, bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees in more than 100 fields. Peterson’s Competitive Colleges ranks Bethel in “Top Colleges for Top Students” and it places 13th among Midwestern universities in the “America’s Best Colleges” issue of U.S. News & World Report. Bethel is the only Christian university to operate a New York City art studio and offer a semester of study there. The physics department is named one of 21 “great” undergraduate programs in the nation by American Institute of Physics.
