Waiting for Award Letters?

Many students have applied early in the fall, gotten everything in to the colleges as asked, and are wondering where the financial aid information is?  Well, that information may be coming in late March or April.  However, some large public universities may not get their award letters out until June or even July.  Yikes!  This is a major problem because many four-year colleges will offer better packages than large universities and want a yes or no within 2-3 weeks.  Waiting for public universities to deliver their offers may lead to missing out on great packages the private colleges offer.   If private colleges are offering good packages that come remotely close to the family EFC, a bird in the hand may be better than waiting for a public university’s offer and losing out on the private college offer.  For more detailed information on this process, look into Best College for You for the information you need.
