Schools Not Naming Valedictorians

Some larger schools are eliminating the title of Valedictorian and going to a different system that honors more students. Some are going to the Top Ten and others are honoring everyone with a 3.9 g.p.a. Don’t freak out if your school is doing this. Colleges aren’t all that seduced with those titles. They are more likely to look at your grade point average, ACT or SAT test scores, and extra curricular activities. So, relax. You are not doomed to losing scholarships. Titles are merely changed.
