Going to College Because of Friends?

Selecting a college is a tough job.  Many students get confused and a bit fearful about going to a college no one else is going to.  They end up going to a school that isn’t for them thinking all colleges are the same.  They are not.  Choosing a college based on where your friends are going is a bad decision.  What is even worse is going where your boyfriend or girlfriend is going.  Why is this bad news?  High school relationships rarely last in college.  Sorry to deliver that bad news but it is reality.  So, imagine yourself thinking this relationship is forever only to lose your significant other to someone else on campus.  Now, imagine having to see the two of them together every day and even in some of the same classes–day after day.  Yeah.  Pretty painful.  Many students end up going to another college or even dropping out to avoid the pain.  Don’t be one of those.  Be strong enough to select the best college for you even if it means being separated from your loved one.  You will be the winner in the long run.
