Good News! The FAFSA is being simplified. FAFSA is the complicated financial aid form that turns many students and parents against even going to college. In 2007 the process was begun to simplify things and it finally happened! For 2010-2011 FAFSA-on-the-Web has been redesigned. Those applying for aid in the 2010-11 academic year in January will be able to access the IRS web site to retrieve income information to complete the FAFSA. This process was begun by President George W. Bush and came to fruition under the Obama administration.
